FOREIGN MEDICAL GRADUATE EXAMINATION

🍁 The Times of India dated 25 October 2018, Chennai Edition carries an important news item on FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination).

🍁 Indian students who aspire to have a medical degree outside India generally go to China, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Philippines and Malaysia.

🍁 Approximate cost of accomplishing a medical degree in these countries is between 20 and 30 lakhs whereas an Indian medical degree in private medical colleges deprives the aspirant of 1 to 1.5 crores of rupees.

🍁 Indian students who accomplish their medical degree in USA, UK, Australia and New Zealand are exempted from appearing in FMGE.

🍁 FMGE is conducted twice every year.

🍁 Question paper is of objective type with a total of 400 questions. No negative marking.
